Le célèbre chanteur-compositeur mettra en vente ce coffret volumineux comprenant 8CD/2CD/4LP, le vendredi 31 octobre via Columbia/Legacy Recordings. Précommandez/Enregistrez-le ici.

Pour donner un avant-goût de ce projet à venir, Dylan a partagé la chanson ‘Rocks And Gravel’, un enregistrement délaissé de 1962 issu des sessions de Freewheelin’ à New York.

Ce coffret retrace l’évolution et la maturité de Dylan en tant qu’auteur-compositeur et interprète, depuis Minnesota jusqu’à la bohème de Greenwich Village au début des années 1960.

Cela arrive alors qu’un regain d’intérêt mondial pour son travail se manifeste ; la collection inclut des enregistrements rares de Columbia Records, ainsi que des performances faites dans de petits lieux informels, des appartements d’amis et lors de jam sessions dans des lieux qui ne sont plus en activité.

Productions Inédites et Rarissimes #

Bon nombre des enregistrements présents dans ce coffret sont considérés comme extrêmement rares, tandis que d’autres n’ont jamais été publiés jusqu’à présent.

Ce coffret offre aux fans un aperçu unique des premières années de Dylan, période durant laquelle il a perfectionné son talent, transformant des chansons folkloriques traditionnelles en certaines de ses œuvres les plus emblématiques, telles que ‘Blowin’ In The Wind’ et ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’.

‘À Travers la Fenêtre Ouverte’ se termine par un enregistrement complet inédit de son concert emblématique au Carnegie Hall de New York en octobre 1963, marquant un tournant dans sa carrière.

Sean Wilentz, auteur et historien, écrit dans ses notes de pochette de 125 pages : “Cette collection est un fragment de ce temps et de ces lieux. Néanmoins, elle vise à créer un lien vivant entre le passé et le présent, l’ancien et le nouveau, qui ne sont jamais aussi distincts qu’on pourrait le penser.”

L’année dernière en janvier, les premières années de Dylan, de 1961 à 1965, ont été explorées dans le biopic multi-nominé aux Oscars A Complete Unknown, mettant en vedette Timothée Chalamet. Ce film a ensuite été désigné comme l’un des meilleurs films de 2025 selon Newzikradio.
