Taylor Swift Takes a Secret Journey to Film a Music Video #
Recent reports indicate that Taylor Swift allegedly made a covert flight of 3,500 miles on a private jet to shoot a music video in Croydon.
Speculation Surrounding the Trip #
Sources such as The Sun and The Standard have recently ignited rumors about the singer’s discreet visit to London, claiming she traveled there last weekend.
This trip, purportedly originating from New Jersey, was to film a video for her song ‘Elizabeth Taylor’, featured on her latest album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’.

A Unique Filming Location #
As reported by The Standard, the video was filmed in the abandoned Whitgift Centre in Croydon and included appearances by Scottish pop sensation Lewis Capaldi and actor Domhnall Gleeson. Swift had previously shared the screen with them during an episode of The Graham Norton Show in October.
According to The Sun, a source noted that her team’s efforts to keep her under wraps during the trip resembled “a military operation.” Another insider remarked: “Taylor is thrilled to return to London for her new music video. Elizabeth Taylor is an iconic British figure, and Taylor aims to honor her by filming scenes in the city.
“Swift has frequently expressed her affection for London, and the video will showcase various landmarks around town.”
As of this writing, there is no official confirmation that Swift traveled to London, and it remains uncertain whether a music video for the track ‘Elizabeth Taylor’ will be released.
If her journey to the UK was indeed for this purpose, it aligns with the fact that the Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor was born in Hampstead, North London, in 1932 before moving to Los Angeles at the age of seven.
This news follows a 2022 report ranking Swift among top private jet polluters. Her legal team defended her against these claims by stating: “Taylor’s jet is often loaned to others. Attributing most or all of these flights to her is simply incorrect.”
Newzikradio rated ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ three stars, noting that it showcased Swift, “for the first time, […] not driven into artistic growth by love, but rather comfortably anchored by it.”
Although the reception was mixed among fans and critics, the album proved to be a massive commercial triumph—breaking Adele’s long-standing streaming-era record for initial chart sales and marking Swift’s 15th Number One album in the US.
In October, the son of Elizabeth Taylor shared his sentiments regarding Swift naming a song after his late mother, stating, “She and my mom seem like kindred spirits. Both are quintessential examples of female empowerment. Swift’s ability to reflect the similarities and parallel paths of their careers is wonderful.”
