Olivia Rodrigo has reached out to her fans, urging them to help raise funds for children in Gaza.

The artist shared her message with her 39.4 million followers on Instagram, advocating for support through the UN’s international emergency fund. In a now-expired story, she expressed, “There are no words to describe the heartbreak I feel witnessing the devastation that is being inflicted upon innocent people in Palestine.”
She continued, “Mothers, fathers, and children in Gaza are starving, dehydrated, and being denied access to basic medical care and humanitarian aid.”

Rodrigo emphasized, “No child in Israel, Palestine, or anywhere deserves to endure the suffering we are witnessing. It’s horrific and entirely unacceptable. Giving up on them is equivalent to giving up on our shared humanity.” She provided a link to UNICEF USA, which has been delivering humanitarian assistance to children in Gaza and the West Bank since the 1980s (via Times Of India), urging fans to contribute if they can.

This statement from the ‘Driving License’ artist follows closely after fellow pop star Billie Eilish expressed her support for the Palestinian people, labeling Israeli Minister Israel Katz’s proposal to relocate Gaza civilians to a “humanitarian city” built on Rafah’s destruction as “horrifying.”
Furthermore, it has been revealed by Rodrigo’s guitarist that she financed therapy for her entire band and crew during their last tour. “I have never experienced anything like that,” Daisy Spencer shared on The Stage Left podcast. “That experience reignited the importance of therapy for me, as I had neglected it for quite some time.”
Spencer described Rodrigo as “the dreamiest boss of all time,” adding, “Honestly, that was one of the coolest things to happen on tour. It’s quite rare and absolutely extraordinary.”
